Facilities »
The green was originally built as a '4 rinker' later increased to six that we see today. It is maintained by a combination of professional contractors and competent club members.
Separate male and female changing rooms are available with the main clubhouse providing all other facilities that include a licensed bar and fitted kitchen. There is also a full size fitted wooden skittle alley available to club and social members. Occasionally the alley is loaned out to other local organizations.
Match Days »
The playing season runs from late April through to the end of September.
League matches are played Tuesday evenings (ladies), Wednesday evenings and Thursday afternoons (both mixed). Friday evenings are set aside for men only district league games.
The Club encourages members to enter, both individually and collectively, all knockout competitions that are available to the Club.
Club friendly matches are usually arranged for Sunday afternoons. Representative friendlies are played both Saturdays and Sundays.
During the winter months the Club also plays a number of indoor friendlies against local indoor bowling clubs.
'The Town' was the first club in the Association to wear coloured shirts. After several changes in design it has settled for the more traditional style of white shirt with navy blue and gold trim.
Social Activities »
During the winter months the club stays active through weekday evening skittle league matches. The Club plays host to two teams, one comprising mostly full members and the second social members only.
Saturday evenings usually sees a quiz night, whist drive or a 'racing night'. Occasionally, the clubhouse will see a birthday party for a member or someone related to a member.
New - Short Mat Bowls
